As I post, it is cool & blustery outside...sheets of rain water the gardens. If we were to have fair skies, it was best to have them this past weekend. We were lucky. Busy times and the weather god/goddess smiled upon the Island through it all. Whew!
First off, it seems that ANC Director Laura Waldron must have a magic wand as the sun always seems to shine for Art in the Park @ ANC! By the looks of the ticket sales, it looks like it was a success.
Lots of folks - of all ages - turned out to snack and to be a little creative.
We even had a little music!
Out on the water? It was a happening place, too. Deaths Door Paddlefest was underway!
At the ferry terminal, it was a great day for Blessing of the Fleet. This year's speaker was former Town Chairman, Joel Gunnlaugsson.
Then there were others who just wanted to be out on the water! Tis the Season!
There is more to come. Here are 2 upcoming events:
Island Players presents “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”
Directed by Andy Sachs, this Tennessee Williams play is the examination of relationships between members of a family in crisis and their interaction over the course of one evening’s gathering to celebrate Big Daddy’s 65th birthday. Social mores, greed, superficiality, desire and repression are explored in Williams’ favorite play.
Adult tickets are $15 and available in advance at the Red Cup.
