The Summer is at its glorious best!
The photo above reminds me of the last few days. I may not be alone tho. I for one will benefit from a mind reset and the Island does not disappoint!
Some of us are hanging on, like petals to a flower, this one an example from the ANC Canvas Quilt.
Things get stirred up at this time of year. I have to remind myself to look up, take a breath, and remember to enjoy Summer on the Island!
Must not forget to take a look at those lovely orchards. It's cherry picking time in Door County!
Good to pause as one could spy something that otherwise might slip by!
Sometimes, just letting ones eyes rest on traditional day lilies can serve as a refresh.
In recent years, a veritable Lavender District has developed on the Island! This weekend we celebrate with a three day Lavender Festival at Fragrant Isle - food, instructional sessions, activities for all ages. At Historic Island Dairy, one can view a graphic arts gallery and a shop of lavender products. The first lavender farm established on the Island, Glenella on Michigan Road, sports the English variety.

A reminder: the 50th Anniversary Party to honor the founding of the ANC will take place at the Hotel Washington on Thursday July 30 - 6:30 to 8:30pm. Lots of memories to share. Be there!
